Filey
Folk
Festival
2023

is back!

Founded in 2004 by Robert Hartley, (with help from Filey Folk Club regulars Alan & Poppy Scott-Hallgate), it is one of the mainstays of this North Yorkshire seaside town’s musical year. Expect a broad range in styles of acoustic folk, blues, traditional,  modern, country, a bit of acoustic rock & pop and a very warm welcome and famously friendly atmosphere. You can catch well over 100 ACTS performing live at the participating venues and also busking around the seaside town. The PUB, CAFE AND RESTAURANT SHOWS run all weekend and admission is FREE for everyone.

Announcement! The Trailer @Cobble Landing will look a bit different due to problems placing the (very large) trailer there. Instead there will be a gazebo with a battery amp and mics, ready for people to play. The lineup will be the same as for The Trailer. The Gazebo will be at the promenade near the Big Fisherman Statue

Bill Fenwick is taking care of this stage on Friday and Dogfinger Steve on Sunday. We are looking for a volunteer to take care of it on Saturday.

And what is a folk festival without spaces for folk sessions and opportunities for people to show up and play without being booked in?
